Hpw to lose a customer for life...Part II

So Sarah says that she drove all the way to Richardson Bike Mart and they were rude. Rude is a very precise and powerful word when spoken by an Englishwoman. But that's another story.
So Sarah says that she drove all the way to Richardson Bike Mart and they were rude. Arrogant, even.
I nearly burst a lung laughing.
RBM is a really good bike shop. But just Friday night we were there with Mango and I had the same reaction. A, they flaunt their "we gave Lance Armstrong his start" legacy way to much. B, they sell only two Mt. Bike brands. C, they think 15% OFF is a good deal. D, they do not want to help you or reward you for being a good customer.
I will likely not be back.
Bluebonnet is closer to me anyway. And Ben has never been rude or talked down to me.
He carries enough parts and accessories to make it worth my while to buy from him. And he sold me my Orbea, which means he's got the brand of bike I would buy in the future. The egotists at RBM have Trek. Specialized. And some kind of past glory to hang their hats on.
Besides which, Mango wanted these really expensive SIDI shoes and they were out of them in his size.
I need new shoes, too. Maybe I'll see what Bluebonnet has on the shelves.
The other thing is that I lost my watch at RBM.
I looked at it right before I left the house. It's not in the house, the car or my coat. It was not on my wrist at dinner. So... I called RBM. They did not go look. They did not take my name and number in case it turned up... nope, they just didn't have it. OH WELL.
I am getting a new watch... titanium... which I think will be really cool and I will let you know when it arrives.
Oh... did I tell you that Sarah is about to spend $3000 on a bike. I'll tell you more about that when it arrives, too.
Till then, boycott RBM. Or act very very rude when you do go there to shop!
