Good Afternoon, Boys and Girls....
I am pleased to propose that the following is the dirt dawg time trial calendar for 2007-2008.
This is set to be a six-race series.
1. RCP - Sunday, October 14th. Time TBD. Fastest Time Wins. BYOB. $5 for ingredients and Bgreen cooks.
2. Sansom Park - Sunday, October 28th - Fastest Time Wins. (Winner gets to give Solo his 467 Birthday spankings as he ages the very next day.) BYOB and Meat. Gonna ask Bernie if we can grill/drink at his shop after. You guys buy stuff from Bernie that day and we all win.
3. Johnson Branch - Sunday, December 2nd - Predicted Time. The winner is the person who comes closest to his or her predicted time for the race. All bike computers, Ipods, other music devices and -- of course -- watches, will be confiscated and sold off by Booker via Ebay to pay legal expenses. BYOB and chicken to follow at Babes in Sanger.
4. OCNP - Sunday, January 13th -- Hat Race. Each participant will throw his or her name into a hat. The race director's able assistant -- I have appointed Dena, but she doesn't know it yet -- will draw two names at a time. Those two riders will be a team and their times will be combined. Fastest combined time wins. Getting a beer sponsor for this one. Tacos on me.
5. Tyler -- Sunday, February 10th -- Fastest Time Wins. BYOB and $$ for food. Hopefully we'll do a cajun shrimp and crawfish boil. Bgreen?
6. RCP -- Sunday March 8 -- A to Z challenge. Participants will be judged on time. But the person who improves his or her time the most from the first time trial in Oct. is the winner. BYOB and $5 for food. Brad? You sick of me appropriating your talent on the grill yet?
The TIME TRIALS are free. The results will be posted on the site. The races are open to anyone, man or woman, over the legal drinking age. Smoking illegal substances is highly discouraged before you start.
I have done my best not to coincide with the Dorba/Tmbra races. Hopefully, the Frozen Four-Hour races will be on Saturdays.
FYI -- I have not decided the actual course for the RCP trial yet -- so PM me suggestions. Oh, and you can flame me as hard as you want, as long as you promise to show.
As Always, your faithful, loving and genteel race director, Mouthful, of Oregon
