It is raining outside like it rains in Oregon. It rains here like that too, but today I am thinking of Oregon... with melancholy and regret.
Anyway, I don't want it to rain. It's sapping my energy and hindering my fantasy of stepping out side for a refreshing breath of spring air.
I have finally sent my father his birthday present... which is pathetic since his birthday was March 1st. That, however, has nothing on my taking until March to send Madhu her Christmas present. And then, when she gets it, she doesn't even use the thing.... I hope she's got an extension chord by now. Sheesh.
I still haven't learned to drink coffee, black.
The BMA board meeting is cancelled, we're back on for climbing, and I don't think I have any gym clothes.
Somehow this is how I end up with all the best things in my closet -- I have to go buy them in a rush. I wish I could always just buy what I like instead of looking for a bargin.
Speaking of BARGAINS... I can tell you about someplace that is NOT.
I ordered chicken fajita nachos at Matt's Rancho Martinez last night. I got six nachos with nothing but beans, cheese and completely oversalted chicken that had been pan fried, for $11.00
That's the biggest rip-off you can possibly imagine. And I was starving and the chicken was inedible.
it's still raining... my new plants should love this... but I somehow get the sense that this rain will never, ever stop. There will be no Easter Beer Hunt. I know one thing, TNSS is cancelled.
And now, on with the day.
Coffee!
