End of May without AC

The a/c unit in my office has decided not to blow cold air. I have no idea why. It was working when I left it last night. Today, nada... just warm air blowing all over me.
The box fan is not really helping.

Roses are not doing as well as desired.
I was watering them this morning and some of them are really worrying me.
Their little leaves are dry and they aren't offering any new shoots yet.
Tonight I will need to give them some more root stimulator.
It's just that I've put so much into them. I really, really want them to succeed. And the thing is, well, to live.

Justin and I are going to Amarillo this weekend and it's going to be a great time. Justin promises not to get a speeding ticket. I promise not to eat anything fried, processed, or packaged. Phew.
Jack, Davis and Jen will be coming along. I'm not planning on staying in the Canyon this time. I think I'll stay with Big Red. But anyway, I am so grateful to be going out of town. Wish I could drive to Glacier in a day.... but Amarillo will do.

I'm contemplating rekeying the locks. I was talking about how many people have access to my house and I would have to make a lot of keys. I mean, these are people who I want to have access. Sounds kind of oxymoronish, huh.... and it is. The thing is, I don't feel like I need to rekey my locks, but other people do. And I know I am irrational about locking things...Or not locking them. Anyway, I thought if I accommodated my friends and got new locks, it would help them drop the subject.

Speaking of which, I forgot my checkbook at home. Just a random observation. Do with it what you will.

Had dinner with Ralph last night. Spent the evening discussing which magazines were the best edited in the country and theoretical physics. He made poached Talapia with fresh tomato relish and sauteed carrots. We also had some squash bisque with ginger and rice. YUM.

OK, this had to be the lamest blog entry in ages. I can't think in this steam room. I think I better take a nap. Or maybe go home to work. Whatever. My apologies for making you read this crap.
