Careful, I'm about to make you itch

Just now I was putting some toilet paper on the spindle and removing the rest of the rolls from their plastic cocoon when I noticed a black spot and tried to scrap it off the plastic.... 'course it was the registration mark from the printing.
But I have an obsession with all things spot. Dark spots of say two-four millimeters are dancing across my field of vision. They are swarming at my feet. Covering my furniture. Keeping me from sleeping. plaguing me as I wake.
And all because the tick infestation in my neighborhood continues. 1000s of them. And I am not exaggerating.
First they got Davis and all my dogs were immediately treated. Then, Polly the wonder pig came in from outside yesterday - and being white - immediately they were noticeable. So I sprayed her down and left her in the den while I went to work.
No sooner had I come home than I began finding them ... in her ears, her eyes, her nose, her toes. Everywhere I hadn't sprayed.
This called for drastic action, so I went to buy defenses: dip, spray, shampoo, drops, collars....
When we started bathing her (dip in the rinse water) the dirt on her behind started to swarm.
OH MY GOD..... fleas and ticks so thick they were discoloring her pretty pink skin.
James and I both gagged.
Polly's bath took nearly and hour because I went over every inch of her with a flea comb. But she's clean and ready to be adopted next week.
Still, if I never see another crawling black spot, it will be too soon.
