I have adopted Bubble's soapless sponge fixation. I am very happy to report it makes absolute sense. No one else has to understand this, but it's the only way to clean my sink to my liking.

There might be "driving while black" in Plano, or "driving while Mexican" in Colleyville, but in Oak Cliff we have "driving while white." Apparently, I am a revenue source. I have gotten my 6th ticket in as many months. And I am pissed. The cop -- a rookie, btw -- gave me a ticket for running a red light at an intersection that has no stoplight... just stop signs. I swear I almost laughed at him, but I was too mellow. Oh well, another trip to court. Another prosecuting attorney who will laugh at my misfortune and swear he's never worked with such stupid people. I am getting so very good at this.

Yesterday, I sprayed Davis, Jenna and Dallas with flea and tick spray. Nasty stuff, but it's necessary this year. So this morning when I woke up and began to make the bed, I noticed that where Davis had slept on the bedspread on his side of the bed there were 100s of dead ticks. I doubt I have ever been so disgusted.
I immediately stripped the bed, grabbed a handkerchief to cover my face and went to the shed to get the poison and the spreader. I did the front and the back yards in record time, sprayed the rest of the dogs down, stripped off my clothes and washed them and jumped in the shower. YUCK.
The dogs are all sleeping inside today and I will be vacuuming tomorrow as if to save a sinking ship. Truthfully, the house needs it. But either way, I put off poisoning the yard as long as I could from the March treatment. It's definitely past due.

In other news, I rock when it comes to making adventures happen. Last night Kassy and I were determined to have a drink for our birthdays. Well, we couldn't get Richard and Jerry to join us, but Todd came and we met at Humperdinks in Addison. At first, we were inside, eating nachos and drinking. But when Karaoke started we could no longer stand it and decided to sneak outside for a second drink. Well, there really wasn't any sneaking involved. Anyway, we sat down just as a stunt plane was flying over Addison with sparklers on his wings. Beautiful. And then, the fireworks started. I am always amazed at how long they shoot. But it was spectacular and we had a perfect view and we did not have to sit on the ground and the drinks were cold.
I think Todd thinks I am extra lucky... or maybe he is. I don't know. But it was a good, good, good night.

The original plan for today was to drive out to the EOP campout, ride my road bike, get a swim in, wank on the hash and come back here tonight. As it stands, I might not even get that done. It's already noon and I still need to bathe Davis, eat something, and .... well, I'll spare you the list of To Dos.

Listen to the music. If you don't like it, that's OK. But if you do, please ask to buy a CD. It was just released and I really want to help these kids out. Plus, I really like the music.
