I just heard a story about some people in California. They were asked - by their churches - to give money to "Proposition 8" which was on the ballot last November and once again made it illegal for gay and lesbian Californians to marry.
So Gays and Lesbians found out who gave that money and stopped patronizing those businesses. And they protested... letting others know which businesses had supported the rollback of civil rights.
Now, those donors are complaining because they feel their constitutional rights to free speech are being impinged.
Are you serious?
You chose, freely, to give money to a hateful cause.
Now those you spoke out against with your money and your vote are withdrawing their dollars from your businesses. That's them, exercising their consitutional right to point out you're a hypocrit.
You can't have it both ways...
It's your right to say and vote any way you want... but let's be clear that you'll reap the consequences.
What comes around, goes around.
Now shut up!
