Day 42 of Life in the Bushes: I want to know if he's still riding with flat pedals and toe cages?

'W' bought a new carbon fiber mountain bike at RBM about a week ago and the place was all a buzz after he left. The story I heard was that he might become involved in DORBA, perhaps that means someone mentioned the web site to him . . . Since then, he has been hitting a lot of the trails and has invited riders in the parking lot to join him in photos or on the trail, even talked to one guy's wife on the cell phone! Here's a few DORBA discusion links, including photos and what they talked about. I'm so glad they didn't close the trail for him, even if it was a weekday. At the bottom is a posting from the Ft. Worth Bicycling Association forum, sounds like Stan would have had a better story had he ridden off and joined him.

FWBA posting: This afternoon I went for a mountain bike ride at Cedar Hill State Park. The parking lot by the trail head had a couple of Dallas Police cars and a number of people standing around them. Nobody seemed to be doing anything. I took my bike clothes into the restroom to get changed.
It's my habit to put my clothes on the bench just inside the door and do my changing right there. If anyone should open the door at just the right moment they would be blinded by the full moon, if you catch my drift. Just after I pulled my shorts up, a big burly guy walks in and headed for the urinal. He didn't look like a biker or hiker. I'm thinking he's some kind of cop. As I continued changing I became aware that he was standing at the urinal but I didn't hear any pee. A biker came in, went into the stall where I heard plenty of pee flowing. But big burly still made no sound.
He finally turned around and left. I headed out to my car to finish getting ready. BB came walking by my car, looking it over very carefully. He got into a shiny black sedan that was parked by mine. He and another guy drove over to where the trail begins and parked.
About that time an older lady came by, rolled down her window and excitedly started in, "Did you meet him?" I just looked dumb. "The president is here!"
I'm thinking, "I saw Obama speaking before a joint session of congress last night. I don't think he would be here." Then she woke me up. "President Bush is mountain biking on the trail here!"
She drove over and parked to wait for W's return. I didn't want to miss my ride, but I kinda wanted to meet the guy. I thought about riding the trail backwards, but the thought of the Secret Service and the guns they carry convinced me I should let the former pres enjoy his ride.
So off I went for a great ride through the woods. I noticed that the trail was in a lot better shape than the last time I was there. Guess someone knew that company was coming.

I get all itchy just thinking about him living in the same state with me. Much less the same city.

What happens when someone out for revenge decides to bomb his ass? The rest of us have to go down with him? :-)
