I am grateful

...that Facebook has let me sneak a peek at the lives of my cousins in Germany. Real-time interaction. I can't believe how much it means to me.
... for $4 Irish Wool sweaters. This one has been serving me well since the 90s, when I bought it at a thrift store. It's like an old friend. And it's quality is unequivocal.
... for $1.81 gas. I'll take that as long as I can, even if it's not so good for us in the long term.
... that despite the sweating and weight gain, the Cymbalta keeps the pain at bay and lets me actually know that I am grateful for things - at the same time.
... for volunteers who dedicated countless hours to things that will most likely not be appreciated by others.
... for the friends she's met while she's been planning Texas Interhash.
... for $10 Goodwill Bread Machines. I'm on loaf three in a week and a half and still in love with the whole idea.
... to know that I am good enough at NLP to practice without a cheat sheet.
... for down sleeping bags and travel bags and sample prescription drugs.
... to have had NPR in my life all these years. I know that I am a better person for it.
... also for google. What would we do without it?
... that Chaco will be fixed before I re-home him (essentially for free) and that he is smart and intuitive and worth keeping. I wish I could send him to my folks for safe keeping until my sister was ready for a dog.
... for the realization that I am completely worth a six-digit salary.
... for that specialized root touch-up product that completely matches the color your hair has faded to in five weeks. And it works in 10 minutes.
... for alarm clocks.
... for my new-found passion for the garden.
... for the incredible insightfulness of the design engineers behind the Honda Element. Can VW please hire them? Please?
... that my parents are remodeling their house in Palm Springs on their own - in their 70s!
... that Eddie has turned out to be such a fantastic pet.
... that Bailey cuddled with me this morning
... that my doctor has computerized medical records. Even if his billing clerk is a nut.
... for Ibuprofin, bloodpressure medicine and Zenni Optical. Check them out at zenni.com
... for Mark ... and for finding out how to cuddle ... and for glass cleaner that doesn't leave streaks ...
And for the fact that Texas Interhash is in 7 days... and then it's over until Fort Worth gets the nod!
