Thanks.
Ellie
Eleanor Roosevelt may not be a classic beauty, BUT her precarious rescue from the Ferris Animal Shelter helped make headlines for the small town south of Dallas who might have had her euthanized. Thanks to a cooperative movement of rescuers, Ellie was pulled and brought to safety.
Ellie is the darling of everyone who meets her. All of the vet techs are in love with her sweet face. She loves to lick your face, and I don't say this in a "Oh-So-Cute-Shelter-Talk" kind of way - I mean she REALLY loves to kiss! Ellie is full-grown at 40 lbs and looks like a Boxer that someone made in a smaller, easier-to-handle package. Ellie loves the car, the park, the creek - anywhere there is adventure. However, she settles down well and can pass out in front of the TV with you if you would like.
Shelby

She is approximately one year old and is a Shepherd Mix; probably containing a hint of Basenji. Shelby LOVES playing with people and with other dogs. She is gentle and affectionate and we are working on her commands and training. She is currently under weight, but getting lots of extra treats while she learns to sit, stay and lay down.
Shelby walks very nicely on a leash and seems to know that walks are a good time for her to "take care of business." Her favorite pastimes are playing with a tug toy, chasing a ball, playing with her two foster brothers and then curling up next to her human. Whether for better or worse, she does not seem to know how to jump on to the furniture! Living in a NDDR foster home will probably change that, but somewhere in her past she just might have been taught that such behavior was not allowed.
Please contact us to meet this sweet girl who will love to join a family with other dogs, kids and/or any person who will love her for life!
