Just so you know... it is not a good idea to borrow a pair of shorts to run a 25K trail race. Just not a good idea. I didn't finish the race, btw. My legs were really the issue. But the shorts -- having been plyed with vaseline -- will never be the same. And let's just say that it's a good thing that walking like a cowboy - bow-legged - happens to be the way my calves feel best. Cause it eliminates the need to discuss the chafing.

Also, just so you know.... it's a good idea to take the keys out of the car if you have the dogs inside and the doors closed. Tyler was so excited by God only knows what that he bounced excitedl up and down on the driver's side window -- thereby hitting the lock/unlock button just once. That's all it took to lock dogs inside the truck, with the keys. Thanks to Mark Henderson, a wood chisel and a long piece of rebar, we were able to pry the door away from the frame long enough to insert the rebar and push the button. But this did take an hour. And it was nerve racking... to be sure.
