Red, just FYI, I won't be at these first couple dozen... see you down the trail, man.
And make sure those berms are good and tight, I don't want water rushing down the trail."

And... I'm sure there are much brighter birthday parties being planned as well.

To a man I greatly admired. When I was a ranger at PDC I always got a smile whenever I saw Big Red no matter what kind of a day it was. I re-met Red in August Of 1999. I originally met him in September of 1980 when he sold me my first brand new car, a 1981 Red Chevy Vette (Chevette :-))for $4500. He was the only car salesman to sale me a car truthfully with no feeling of being taken afterward. He lived live that way. Full disclosure. I was genuinely happy to see him 19 years after that car sale when i met him at Palo Duro on his way down to do some trail work. As the Palo Duro Canyon Corps of Engineers motto stated, he loved to dance with dirt. The next five years I was employeed at The Canyon I learned that Red was the hardest working man I had known in my life, on par with my dear grandfather DaddyClay. I am now even more excited to get to Heaven on my anointed(sp?) date so I can hike the trails Red has most likely already started building there.
Red, Make sure you drink plenty of water up there
One of your many friends, with love,
Kerry Dawson
