Ok... so this morning I got a picture of my parents taken on their 45th Wedding Anniversary (which I am embarassed to say I think they spent at Red Lobster), but I digress. My mother has freshly colored hair, which is always good since she tends to do it herself and not notice how fast it fades. But them moral of this story is my mother, who is 69 years old, looks fantastic. She could be a model for AARP. Actually, she should be. She'd get professional hair care and money! How did she do it? Well, part of it is genetics - genetics I did not get. But the most important aspect of my mother's 69 year beauty regime is exercise. And it pushed home more than ever that I need to do something every day. Sure, I can hide the thickening around my middle, the slightly thunderous thighs, the heaviness of my back and shoulders. But I cannot hide the skin on my face, or under my chin... and to simply never gain a lot of weight and to keep the taughtness via strong muscles and healthy sweating is the very best way to keep your face looking younger. And ... and ... my mother is the living example of this.
Now I just need to get the lead out!
