Quitteris fast becoming her middle name

Palin quits before finishing the 5K Turkey Trot race.

Palin, Turkey Trot On Wednesday, Sarah Palin excitedly announced on Twitter that she was going to be running a 5K Turkey Trot charity race in Washington state on Thanksgiving day. Large crowds of people turned out to catch Palin at the race, hoping to get the chance to meet the former Alaska governor. Palin, however, quit the race early to avoid many of her fans:

Palin had announced on Twitter that she would be running the 5k race organized by the Benton-Franklin Chapter of the Red Cross.

She didn’t finish the race, opting to leave the course early to avoid more crowds at the end. About 40 minutes into the run, word started trickling out to people gathered at the finish line that she was gone.

Wonkette also points out that Palin said she wasn’t going to be making a turkey dinner for Thanksgiving because it was “too much work.”

Now, I am not a huge Sarah Palin fan....but I don't think it is necessarily fair to completely lambast the woman for not finishing that 5k or for being honest about not wanting to cook a full thanksgiving dinner. If I had people hounding me (especially on pavement and pushing an effing stroller), I'd prolly bail off the course too. I wouldn't have told everyone I was doing it tho...unless she wanted everyone to think she was a badass...and then, well..she shoulda finished. Ok...scratch that comment about don't pick on her. Pick on her for not finising. BUT its fair that she didn't want to cook. Sometimes I don't want to cook. Sigh. Nevermind. This comment sucks. :)
