Van Cliburn disappoints me after all. He remained a life-long Baptist.
How can you love and support an institution that denies who you really are - or, worse yet, openly disdains you and thinks of you a evil itself?
There is no way to reconcile Baptist views on homosexuality and Van Cliburn's support of the Baptist Church.
In the end, it is a weakness of his that no one is discussing. And I am pretty darned disappointed.
